This week I wanted to talk about something that continues to be brought up in my 1-1 coaching sessions… the cycles we get stuck in, especially in our most intimate relationships.

It’s so easy to feel like you’re walking in circles, caught in a web of unmet needs, unspoken expectations, and frustration. And sometimes, the more we try to fix it, the more tangled we get.

Do any of these thoughts sound familiar?

✨ “Why am I always the one trying?”
✨ “Am I asking for too much?”
✨ “Will they ever see me for who I truly am?”
✨ “What if they never change?”

It’s very common to feel unheard in a relationship, especially when there’s a pattern of emotional distance or when the person you’re with can’t (or won’t) see things from your perspective.

Here’s the thing, my friend… which you may not want to hear BUT you need to hear this.

Someone has to be the leader!  And if it isn’t them then yes, it will be you.

A while ago, I was in a conversation with Lisa, who was facing a pivotal moment in her marriage. She had spent so much time fighting, trying to get her husband to see her, to choose her and to pick up some of the work. What she realized in our conversation is that her power wasn’t in waiting for him to change or to do it…
it was in choosing herself.

It wasn’t about walking away.
It wasn’t about blaming.

It wasn’t about waiting for him to do it.
It was about breaking the cycle.

About seeing where she had been showing up as the victim in her own story and stepping into the role of the powerful woman God had always created her to be.

It was about healing.

It was about change as .a whole not tit for tat of who was the one to start the change
It was about being her true leader self, not a version that was shaped by fear, insecurity or stubbornness.

This is your invitation to do the same.

If you’ve been feeling like you’re stuck in a relationship or stuck in any pattern that doesn’t serve you, I want to remind you that
you have the power to break it.

It’s not about waiting for someone else to change

It’s not about being mad that you have to be the one changing.

It’s about shifting the way you show up for yourself, stepping into the version of you that God has always seen.

As you heal, the relationship dynamics will shift. As you step into your power, you’ll see things differently, and maybe, just maybe, the other person will begin to see you differently too.

This is what we dive into in this podcast episode with Lisa. She’s incredibly open about the struggles she faced and the deep, painful moments where she was forced to face herself and take her power back.

If you’re ready to break free from the cycle and start healing, this episode is for you. 🎧

Here’s a sneak peek of what you’ll hear in this conversation:

✨ The struggle of feeling unheard
✨ The realization that healing starts with you, not them
✨ How Lisa learned to communicate her needs in a new way
✨ The big moment where Lisa decided to take her power back
✨ Practical steps for breaking the cycles of pain and frustration
